Do Not Sell
Do Not Sell or Share My Info
Last updated: 2026-07-28
Effective: July 28, 2026
This page exists because California’s CCPA/CPRA and similar state laws grant a right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. Below: how that applies to this site, and how to act on it.
What Is Actually Involved
- To be precise about what is and is not happening: Fortyclear does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. However, where advertising is displayed on fortyclear.com, advertising identifiers may be shared with ad partners, and state law may classify that as a ‘sale’ or as ‘sharing’. We therefore make the opt-out available rather than rely on a narrow reading.
- This holds for all readers of fortyclear.com, whether they have interacted with us or not.
What Opting Out Does
The effect is on targeting, not on volume. Ads may still appear, chosen without reference to your browsing. The rest of fortyclear.com works exactly as before — opting out never costs you access, features, or content.
How to Opt Out
You can opt out by enabling a Global Privacy Control signal in your browser, which this site honours automatically without any message from you; by declining advertising cookies in the consent banner where it appears; or by emailing hello@fortyclear.com under the subject ‘Do Not Sell or Share’. None of these routes requires you to register.
Other state-law rights are described in the State Privacy Notice.
